Meet The Band

Rich Ford – Guitar and Vocals

A former military brat – I’ve lived all over the US as well as in Germany. I got my first guitar when I was 12 years old. My mother bought it at a Western Auto store in Ozark, Alabama. My father taught me my first song – “Folsom Prison Blues” and that was the start.

I’m a self taught musician. I love classic country music because it brings back memories. My other influences: 70’s singer/songwriters like, Jim Croce, John Denver and Gordon Lightfoot.

I also have a part of me that longs to play jazz – though it takes the back seat to what I love – Performing songs everybody knows and remembers – taking our audience on a journey down memories lane when music was simple but the impact on our lives is anything but that.

Barry Kukes – Drums and Vocals

Barry is originally from Chicago, IL, and has been playing drums for over 55 years. As a hired gun, Barry has played drums for some notable bands over the years and has been contracted as a studio musician in New York, Chicago, Orlando, and Ormond Beach. Thanks to Rich Ford, Barry is a recent convert to the country genre.

Aside from music, he was the Community Outreach Director of Halifax Humane Society from 2017 to 2023, then CMO in 2024, before joining Volusia County Public Library as its Marketing Specialist.

Barry is also a published author of seven books and writes a weekly pet column that is distributed to over 2400 newspapers for the USA Today Network. For more information about his books, visit www.minicooperproductions.com
